My friend's nursery is from the Carter's Forest Friends collection. So, I googled and found what the set looked like and painted this "Night Owl". However, when my children woke up and saw it they told me that I couldn't only paint this one owl, I needed something else...
Noah suggested that I needed to also make an "Early Bird"... so I googled again and came up with this:
And, then I got to work on my favorite project... I foresee many more of these little ones being made in the coming weeks... this was made of old baby receiving blankets and a pair of fuzzy brown baby pants... I hand embroidered the eyes and beak, but the rest was quickly assembled on the sewing machine.
Now we just have to wait to meet this little baby! :)
